Nurtured at KiBO

Volunteering is one of the various ways one can experience true happiness am sure for me and many others who care for the well being of the human race, I would consider it one of the most modern ways of civilization. I mean civilization is not all about eating well cooked food, driving the best car, wearing the most modern clothes and so much more..... that we refer to " luxurious"


KiBO foundation is a non profit organization located in Kansanga Uganda, Kansanga is one of the surburbs of the city Kampala.

I remember the charity car wash day quite well...
Actually it was my first day at KiBO, I was so happy and eager to know more about the KiBO initiative wow I had always yearned to start up SIFE ( Students in free enterprise) but to no avail, actually the SIFE idea was similar to the KiBO one and the fact that it didn't work out then KiBO became a plan B.

The charity car wash was meant to raise funds to assit paediatric cancer patients at Mulago hospital, having joined the project in the middle of its implementation then I can't tell so much about the challenges that the 4th class faced during its conception.

However, together we managed to raise a total of 2 million Uganda shillings, imagine....
Its unimaginable how much the youth can do with team work.
